## Welcome to the World of Blox Fruits
Blox Fruits is one of the biggest games on Roblox, with millions of active players exploring seas, fighting bosses, and collecting powerful fruits. But as a new player, it can feel overwhelming — there's a lot going on and the game doesn't hold your hand.
This guide breaks down everything you need to know to get a strong start.

## The Three Seas
The game world is split into three major areas, and you'll progress through them as you level up:
### First Sea (Level 1-700)
This is where every player begins. You'll find basic enemies, starter islands, and your first bosses here. Focus on leveling up and learning the combat system.
### Second Sea (Level 700-1500)
Things get more interesting here. Enemies are tougher, rewards are better, and **trading becomes available** at the Second Sea Cafe. You'll also find the Swan Pirates, Ice Admiral, and other mid-game bosses.
### Third Sea (Level 1500-2550+)
The endgame. The strongest bosses, the best loot, and the most active trading scene at the Mansion. This is where the serious players hang out.

## Choosing Your First Fruit
When you start playing, you'll eventually get your first Blox Fruit — either from finding one spawned in the world, buying one from the Blox Fruits Dealer, or rolling one from the Gacha.
Here's what matters when picking a fruit:
### For Grinding (PvE)
You want fruits with **large area attacks** that can hit many enemies at once. Some solid picks for beginners:
- **Light** — Fast movement and great AoE damage
- **Flame** — Strong damage output, easy to use
- **Ice** — Good crowd control with freeze abilities
- **Magma** — High damage, walks on water
### For PvP
Once you're ready to fight other players, different fruits shine:
- **Leopard** — Extremely powerful in close combat
- **Dough** — Great combos and stuns
- **Spirit** — Strong damage and utility
- **Mammoth** — Tanky with good damage
> **Tip:** Don't get too attached to your first fruit. As you progress and start trading, you'll swap fruits many times. Focus on leveling up first.

## Leveling Up Fast
The quickest way to level up is following this pattern:
1. **Find enemies close to your level** — Fighting enemies way above your level is slow and painful
2. **Complete quests** — Always grab the quest for the area you're grinding in
3. **Use the right fighting style** — Some styles are better for grinding than others
4. **Group up** — Playing with friends or other players makes grinding faster
5. **Use XP boosts** — If you have codes or gamepasses that give bonus XP, activate them
### Level Milestones
| Level | Unlock |
|-------|--------|
| 1 | Start in First Sea |
| 300+ | Access to more powerful fruits |
| 700 | Enter the Second Sea |
| 1000 | Access mid-game content |
| 1500 | Enter the Third Sea |
| 2000+ | Endgame content and raids |

## Stats and Where to Put Them
You get stat points every time you level up. There are four stats:
- **Melee** — Increases punch/kick damage
- **Defense** — Increases your health pool
- **Sword** — Increases sword weapon damage
- **Gun** — Increases gun weapon damage
- **Blox Fruit** — Increases your fruit ability damage
### Best Stat Builds for Beginners
**Grinding Build:** Focus on your main damage type (Fruit or Sword) and Defense. A common split is 60% damage, 40% defense.
**PvP Build:** More balanced, but still lean into your primary damage source. Many PvP players go 50% damage, 30% defense, 20% secondary damage.
> **Important:** You can reset your stats later, so don't stress about getting it perfect on your first try.

## Common Beginner Mistakes
### Eating Every Fruit You Find
Just because you found a fruit doesn't mean you should eat it. Some fruits are worth way more in trades than they are to use. Check the [Values page](/values) before eating anything.
### Ignoring Trading
Trading is how you get the fruits you actually want. Start learning values early, even if you can't trade until the Second Sea.
### Spending Robux Too Early
Wait until you understand the game before buying gamepasses or permanent fruits. You'll make better decisions once you know what you actually need.
### Not Storing Fruits
You can store fruits at the Blox Fruits Dealer's cousin. Always store valuable fruits you find instead of leaving them on the ground where they'll despawn.
### Skipping Bosses
Bosses give great rewards including experience, money, and sometimes rare drops. Don't skip them just because they're hard — get help from other players if needed.

## Essential Game Codes
The developers regularly release codes that give free rewards like XP boosts, stat resets, and in-game money. Check for new codes regularly — they expire quickly!
You can redeem codes by going to the **settings menu** in-game and entering them in the code redemption box.

## What to Do After Level 700
Once you reach the Second Sea, your priorities shift:
1. **Start trading** at the Cafe — Build up your fruit collection
2. **Learn values** — Use our [Values page](/values) to understand what items are worth
3. **Focus on better fruits** — Trade up from common fruits to rarer ones
4. **Join raids** — Factory raids and other group content give great rewards
5. **Start PvP** — The Second Sea is where PvP starts getting interesting
