Our item values are computed from real trading activity on this platform, community consensus, and a market reference anchor — not invented or copied from a single source. As our marketplace grows, the platform signal grows stronger and dependence on the external reference shrinks.
The Three Inputs
1. Marketplace Demand Signal (Primary)Every active trade ad tells us what traders are seeking vs offering. We count distinct users per side per item — posting 100 ads counts the same as one. Account age ≥7 days is required. Completion history and item page views also contribute.
2. Community Value Proposals (Refinement)When enough traders agree a value is off, they submit a suggestion with proof. A minimum number of voters must support it at 90%+ approval before the value is nudged — capped at 10% movement per 24 hours. The voter minimum scales with the site's user base to prevent manipulation.
3. Market Reference Anchor (Guardrail)An external market reference anchors values and prevents runaway drift. As platform data grows stronger, this anchor's weight automatically decreases. Values can never be manipulated far from real market prices.
Why This Matters
Traditional value lists rely on a single maintainer's opinion. Our three-input system means no single person or group can distort values.
